In the past, billing for Facebook advertisers has been somewhat random and unpredictable. We never knew for sure which day we’d be billed. For some advertisers, billing was as often as daily.
In an email received today, Facebook has stated that they will now bill advertisers:
- Each time they reach or go over their billing threshold, and/or
- On the last day of each month.
In the email, Facebook states: “Your payment method will be charged for an amount near to your billing threshold or slightly more, depending on how quickly you’re spending. If you don’t reach your billing threshold, you’ll be charged at the end of the calendar month.”
The predictability of knowing when billing will occur is a welcome change to the random charging practices we’ve experienced with Facebook ads up to this point.
